Miss E and I don’t get a lot of one on one time together. By the time she was 4 months old I was already pregnant with Mr A, which was an exhausting pregnancy! Then of course, once he was born I had to focus a lot of attention on to him.
It just happened that due to circumstances, Miss E was the easiest child to leave with our Au pair or with Dave.
But now, Mr A is 4 months and is settled into a routine so our delightful Au pair can look after him and I’m starting to spend more time with Miss E. She is hysterical! The Dutch would call her personality ‘pittage’ (spicy) and that is exactly her.
She can’t yet talk (as happens a lot with children being raised bilingual) so there’s a lot of grunting, whining and squealing!
I am loving our time together. I am really enjoying getting to know her.
Here we are at the ‘beach’. It wasn’t exactly what we’re used to but she had a great time anyway.
