The reason why Olliebollen are so addictive….

Either this is icing sugar for our Olliebollen or the local drug dealer is missing his stash .

An oliebol  is a traditional Dutch and Belgian food. They are called oliebollen (literally: oil spheres) in Holland.

Oliebollen are a variety of dumpling made by dropping dough into a deep fryer filled with hot oil.  Oliebollen are traditionally eaten on New Year’s Eve and at funfairs. In wintertime, they are also sold in the street at mobile stalls.

Finished off with a dusting of icing sugar.

Basically – big donuts with fruit in them.
