Cheese and Smoking Pipes?

Gouda, a province in the south of Holland famous for cheese and smoking pipes.  Who wouldn’t want to go there?

You would not believe the amount of cheese available here, in the supermarkets, in the growers market and in the cheese shops.  It’s a bit intimidating. 

I was super interested in seeing the cheese market.  Henny, was kind enough to offer to be our guide.  We were doubly lucky to have Cousin Liena and Petra join us too.

It’s a sight to see.  Men traditionally dressed in clogs selling their cheese.  The sales of cheese is sealed with a slapping of hands.

The weather was fabulous, and the company awesome.

I didn’t see any ‘smoking pipes’.
