Thursday is market day near our house. I’ve been a few times, but it can be quite overwhelming. Today I bucked up and bought Anneke and I some kibbeling. It’s small pieces of fish, deep fried. Hands down (after bitterballen) one of the best things about living in Holland.

I found out today (via Facebook, it seems to be the new phone call) that I became a great Aunt today. Can you believe it, my nephew is now a father!
