So it was our little girls 2nd Birthday on Saturday. Friday night Belinda and I painstakingly (I really don’t like IKEA) put together the IKEA kitchen that Nana and Poppy bought for her. We then decorated the living room and wrapped all the accessories as well as her new pram.
It all looked great and the thing she was most impressed with was all the wrapping!
After some Skype time with Cousin Benjamin as well as Nan and Pop we hit the bikes for some birthday Frietjes on the beach. We rode down to Zandvoort which was great ride and really nice place. I can see us spending a lot of time here during summer.
Anneke was worn out with all the riding and fell asleep on me on the way home. How she did that on the back of the bike was quite impressive.
The evening was a birthday dinner at the India Palace in Haarlem Centrum where Anneke had her first Poppadom. It was an early night as we had a big day of celebration on Sunday.
Our cousins kindly threw a small party for AAC’s birthday. There were presents galore – a trampoline – some other youngsters and best of all there was a PUPPY DOG!!! AAC had a great night – albeit a bit late.
